Island holiday #3 The perfect summer dress
Shoulders are having a major moment. No two ways about it. And as everyone needs a little dress in their summer wardrobe, this one, with it's off-the-shoulder ruffle detail and contemporary star/ floral pattern is just the number to do the job.
The bardot style is big again this season and that's fine by me. It's a shape that I find it really flattering, especially when the cut of the dress or top is loose and a bit flowy, like this Zara one (currently on sale - so get a move on).
The midi length can be a bit tricky if you're on the petite side. But the cheeky side split makes up for the extra fabric and with the addition of shoes with a bit of height, it would be hard not to look good in this dress. The mustard accents in the fabric work really well with gold accessories, hence the hoop earrings and clutch. These espadrilles are another item you shouldn't go on holiday without and will work just as well with this season's must have cut-off jeans as they do with flouncy little dresses like this. Let the summer parties begin!
